Crankdat Announces First-Ever *Checks Notes* Crankrocks at Red Rocks

Dr. Fresch, Smoakland, Capochino, and HerShe are joining Crankdat at Crankrocks, his debut Red Rocks Amphitheatre headline event.

Prolific as he is, Crankdat has never once visited Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. When he finally does on March 27, it will mark an occasion so momentous that it needed his tongue-in-cheek branding. Thus, Crankrocks was born, a concert featuring some notable supporting EDM talent.

Chief among these artists is Dr. Fresch. This USC alum launched his current project in 2013 after winning Insomniac’s discovery project. Since then, he’s rode on the backs of singles like “Gangsta Gangsta” and “Armageddon” to festival stages across the world.

Smoakland may have become active more recently, but they’re a fast-rising fixture of the heavy bass music landscape. As personable as they are entertaining, the Bay Area duo have performed at festivals like Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and Forbidden Kingdom.

Rounding out the Crankrocks lineup are up-and-comers Capochino and Hershe. The former grew up in Monterrey, Mexico and currently lives in Austin, Texas, weaving lived experiences from both locations into his soundscapes. The latter just made her own Red Rocks debut, opening up for Zeds Dead during their Deadrocks headline event.

And then, of course, there’s Crankdat. The accomplished DJ and producer originally turned down a full-ride scholarship to Kent State to go all in on music, making a name for himself with remixes of songs by the likes of Fetty Wap while still a teenager. It wasn’t long until he switched over to cutting original tracks, and now he’s known across the globe for singles like “Dollars,” “Falling,” “Better Without You,” and “Ding Dong.”

“This is a really cool one,” wrote Crankdat on Instagram. “Even tho i have been touring for almost 10 years, i have never stepped foot in red rocks once. my first time will be for this headline. i am so excited, i love u all, thank you sm for this, gonna bring an a+ show for my first ever time here.”

Presale for Crankrocks goes live on Thursday, November 6 at 10am MT, with the general ticket sale starting on Friday, November 7 at 10am MT. Sign up to get notified via Laylo.
